Where To Go For Your Honeymoon ?
You've got all your wedding plans made, except where to go for your honeymoon. There are so many choices and such great prices this year that it's really hard to decide. You're looking for that memorable trip of a lifetime but where to begin and how to choose your destination?
The most important element is going to be the "when" factor. Past generations would be wed and then jet off to their favorite honeymoon destination. But these days with both individuals having careers and our fast paced life style, it's not always possible to get time off right after your wedding. So the very first thing you need to do is co-ordinate your time off. Whether it's a week, two weeks, or a month. Both of you must confirm with your employer that you can definately have that block of time.
Once you've got a date set you can start to plan your memorable honeymoon. Now if you aren't able to get away right after your wedding why not book yourself into a luxerious bed and breakfast, or a first class hotels honeymoon suite for your wedding night or even a couple of nights if possible. You can have a mini getaway very close to home but it will feel like you got away and complete your wedding nicely.
When planning a honeymoon the first consideration is timing. It used to be that people went on their immediately after the wedding, usually leaving on the same night! It's becoming increasingly common for couples to wait a few
months before taking their trip. The period following the wedding may be anti-climatic, some couples experience post-wedding blues. Delaying the honeymoon leaves something to look forward to after the wedding. Some couples retreat
to a private bed and breakfast or for a "mini-moon" (a short weekend getaway) right after the wedding.
When you book your exotic honeymoon remember to allow at day there and a day back for traveling time. There are some great destination spots to check out and many of them offer special rates or perks to honeymooners.
The Carribean is an excellent choice with several islands to choose from and some nice packages including all-inclusive luxury resorts. Hawaii and Mexico offer similar packages and are also great choicse
An all inclusive holiday is a great way to know your costs upfront. It includes all your food, drinks, and entertainment as well as your room. So you'll just have spending money to worry about.
The Carribean, Mexico, and Hawaii all offer a sunny destination spot where you can relax and enjoy the warm breeze and sandy beaches. Prices will vary depending on the season you are booking in. Some shopping around will be good for your pocket book.
If you are not a sun worshipper there are some other great choices in the North. What about a trip to Alaska, how about Fairmont Hotsprings, or Lake Louise. A trip to Vancouver Island is another great choice.
Depending on the time of year you visit these locations depends on the activities available. Skiing, hiking, swimming in the glacier water or relaxing in the natural hotspring pool are all great ways to enjoy your honeymoon. Alaska in the winter is going to be a bit nippy. Fairmont and Lake Louise as well, but great for winter sports. Vancouver Island will bring you rain and moderate temperatures in the winter with lots to see and do.
With so many choices available you and your fiancee need to sit down and start to decide what type of honeymoon your looking for. Yes, a nice suite is important as you may be spending a great deal of time snuggled together, but you are still going to want to get out and enjoy the activities your destination has to offer
So hurry get packing!! Your memorable honeymoon vacation is just around the corner!
