Throwing A Perfect Party For Your Beach Wedding

Throw a martini party. Start by re-creating the perfect martini lounge. Ensure your DJ has the perfect mix of funk music and jazz music to set the tone. Dim the lights and change some of the lighting to amber. Arrange seating in cozy groups of 4-8 so your guests can easily interact with each other. Buy some funky martini glasses and shaker. Drop in flavoured nautical themed candy such as lifesavers, and use beach themed stir sticks like parasols.

If your looking more for an exotic island style party then decorate with seashells, sand dollars, star fish, and beach type flowers. If you can't go to the beach then bring some sand to your location. Make sure your DJ has a good mix of Jimmy Buffet tunes, reggae, and salsa music. Serve ceviche, bbq chicken and shrimp cocktails. Large banana leaves make great serving dishes. Mix up the margarta's, rim the glasses with lime dipped in course salt.

If your planning something just a little more classic you can still incorporate your beach theme. Seat people in small groups of 4 to 6. Place beach style matts in the center of each seating area and adorn with beach themed vases and flowers, sprinkle some shells and star fish and you'll bring the beach to your more classic get together. Make sure the DJ has plenty of Motown and disco music so your guests can groove. Serve mini cakes and cookies, chocolate favorites like brownies or fudge. A chocolate fondue is always a hit! Serve high balls or low balls with parasol swizzel sticks.

Let your imagination run wild. With a little creative planning you can make your guest feel like they've gone from the beach wedding to an exotic tropical resort. You need not spend a large amount of money if your resourceful and creative. Have fun planning and be assured your guests will be talking about the perfect party for months!
