Tips To Clean Your Diamond Rings, Diamond Earrings, and Diamond Wedding Bands

Whether you need to clean Diamond Rings, Diamond Earrings, or Diamond Wedding Bands you should know the methods you can use to clean your diamonds. Diamonds are a girls best friend, so treat them as such!

1.  Soap & Water - take a small bowl, fill with water and add a small amount of liquid dish soap.  Dip the jewelry into the solution.  Take a soft bristle toothbrush and soak it in the mixture as well until it is soaked.  Then gently brush the surface of the diamond.  Rinse well and polish.

2.  Commercial Solution - there are several commercial jewelry cleaners on the market.  Dip the jewelry into the solution then use the soft brush that comes with it to gently scrub the surface.

3.  Amonia Solution - Warning:  Only use Amonia in a well ventilated room.   Take a small bowl, mix 6 parts of water to 1 part amonia.  Follow the same procedure as with soap & water.

4.  Most Jewelry Stores also offer cleaning services for no charge.  Some of them use ultra sonic cleaning techniques.

If your diamonds are extremely dirty let them soak in the solutions for 30 minutes then scrub gently.  Be gentle with the scrub pressure because although diamonds are very hard, you can scratch the metal. 

Be certain to have the claws on your diamonds checked at least once a year.
